How to Bond with Your Pony.
There are many different activities owner and pony can do together to bond with each other.
Often the ways to bond with your Pony are more simple then some may think!
All you will need is Time,Patience,Respect (on both sides) and a whole lot of love.
These are some tips for bonding with your horse, Please remember to use common sense at all times!

These are some tips for bonding with your horse, Please remember to use common sense at all times!
- Walk your Pony outside for some grass.
- Brush and groom your Pony with a body brush.
- Talk softly to your pony. (Don't yell / shout / raise your voice)
- Go on fun adventures together that both your AND your pony can enjoy. (Eg. trail rides ect,)
- Relax and be happy with where you and your Pony are at, Don't be goal orientated.
- Take time to reassure your Pony.
- Be compassionate, Be your Pony's real leader not a bully or intimidating human.
- Spend time with your Pony doing non-competitive sports.
- Try new things with your Pony.
- Impress your Pony not your enemy's or fellow competitors or your friends and family.
- Do tricks together.
- Take your Pony for a splash in a creek, If he/she is nervous comfort him/her.
- Find tack you and your Pony are comfortable and only use what your horse is comfortable in.
- Sit in a chair and read a book in your Pony's paddock when your Pony comes up to you, Give your Pony a scratch and a pet.
- Show your Pony new things all the while comforting your Pony if he/she gets nervous.
- Teach 'Leg Aids' your pony will appreciate this.
- Go on trail-rides with your pony (This is also a great time to teach leg aids)
- Teach the Line-up with treats. Your pony will very much appreciate his back being spared.
- Be creative invent your own tips and tricks-and when you do pass it on so some-one else will benefit.
- Love your pony unconditionally. Don't be influenced by other 'experts.' Take the good that agrees with your kindness philosophy and leave the nasty stuff.
- Do something different!
- Push yourself and your pony out of your comfort zone. Eg. approaching tarps, water, lamas - on the ground.
- Do exercises together.
- Lunge around and through barrels.
- Try riding without a "death grip" on the reins.
- Get away in nature somewhere and ride through a forestry or rural area, away from pressure and stress.
- Try feeding your pony molasses off your hands (if your horse is able to handle molasses) but don't get bitten!
- Try new treats such as fenugreek, peppermints, liquorice, sweet potato etc
- Let your pony have fun such as splashing in water and rolling in sand.
- Treat your pony with a firmness and gentleness at all times.
